Although I’ve been super busy with my day job, I pushed myself to draw another practice portrait.
Honestly, I didn’t have the energy to find my drawing board and pens so I just grabbed a sketchbook that I’ve been meaning to use since 2013 and a handy Bic ballpoint pen.
I’ve wanted to start a sketchbook habit for some time but for some reason, I’ve always gravitated towards A4 copier paper. It’s probably because I like the smooth white surface for hatching.
The sketchbook I was using has more of a texture. I definitely prefer smoother paper but it’s not too bad. It will be worth it if I’m able to fill a sketchbook with drawings instead of having loose leaves of A4 paper floating around my desk.
