An illustration of my daughter watching TV a few days ago. I wanted to take a break from portraits and try something a little more illustrative, with some tonal washes too.
Although I love line drawing with pen & ink (or its digital equivalent), I’ve been wanted to try interior scenes for some time. There are so many urban sketchers whose work I admire that create beautiful depictions of every-life indoors. Paul Heaston is one of my favourite artists.
I really enjoyed drawing this one. It felt a bit surreal seeing my own living room in a drawing but it’s encouraged me to try some more interior illustrations.
This was created in Procreate v5 using a couple of ink-variant pens and a free watercolour brush from Frankentoon Studios.
